Launched in July 2007 as part of the multi-million-pound redevelopment of The O2, indigo at The O2 is a live music club and one of the premier live venues in London – a 2,700-capacity (2,677 Standing, 1,717 Seated). The purpose-built music venue was designed with perfect acoustics and faultless sightlines, ‘7 second pint’ fast pour technology at its two large bars and a superior lighting rig.
The venue features a unique balcony giving an intimate feel and includes a VIP area “The Purple Lounge” (named after Prince) and VIP seating on the balcony named ‘Kings Row’. Legend has it that Prince actually named the venue; he also released a live album called “indigo nights” that was fully recorded at the venue during his 21 nights 2007 residency in the arena.
In addition to music performances from artists including Coldplay, Prince, Ed Sheeran, Prince and Alicia Keys, indigo at The O2 was the host of Justin Bieber’s album premiere listening event in 2020.
indigo at The O2 celebrated a record show count in 2024 with over 200 events.
