AEG Presents appoints first Head of Comedy ahead of iconic Just For Laughs London

Esteemed Georgie Donnelly appointed in inaugural position to further grow the entrainment leader’s comedy footprint

London, 9 November 2022: AEG Presents, a global leader in music and live entertainment, have appointed Georgie Donnelly as their first Head Of Comedy. Georgie’s appointment will be pivotal in continuing to expand AEG Presents’ footprint beyond music, placing a major emphasis on live comedy and exponentially growing this area of the business. The first landmark moment from her appointment will be bringing the esteemed comedy festival, Just For Laughs, to London for the first time from 2^nd – 5^th March, 2023 at The O2Arena.

Just For Laughs London will be a four-day pass-based festival and feature the company’s signature premium comedy programming. Must-attend events will include solo shows, live podcast recordings, in conversations and cast panels, from both UK-based artists, as well as international stars.

Georgie Donnelly brings with her over a decade of experience in comedy. She joins from Moment House where she successfully served as Head of Comedy & Podcasts. Prior to this she was responsible for booking and representing comedy acts internationally as an Agent at United Talent Agency and successfully established and built the comedy department, as Head of Comedy at Kilimanjaro Live, where she toured some of the biggest international acts in comedy around the UK. In her time with AEG presents, Georgie has already worked with Jonathan Van Ness, Hasan Minhaj, Daniel Howell, Yvonne Orji, and Russell Peters.

Just For Laughs is expanding their international festival footprint by creating a brand-new comedy festival curated for comedy fans in the UK, made possible through collaboration with AEG Presents and The O2.  This is the first of many comedy events to be staged by AEG Presents as they continue to expand their presence within the world of comedy.

The news comes off the heels of the company’s announcement of the appointment of Lucy Noble to an inaugural Artistic Director position.
